Sweet Young Things

What I wore: Pleated sheer shirt, Valentino. Silk unhemmed waisted shorts, Acne. Blazer, Philip Lim. Navy patent wedges, Jil Sander.

Turquoise metallic 2.55, Chanel.

IMAGE HEAVY. For the first time on my blog I believe. I’m not a big fan of posting lots of photos but I’m trying to get there! Blogging has indeed trained me a lot on my patience and ‘techy’ skills.

Here’s the post I’ve promised previously — my first meet up with fashion bloggers Roll Up Your Sleeve, Qin At The Disco, Glisters & Blisters and Fhenny at Bali Thai for lunch. Sadly I was late for a whole 40 minutes because of bad traffic :( But well, it was all good while it lasted! We took loads of photos while I had my favorite ice cream from Gusstimo. It made me miss Venice’s gelato so much that I really wanna go back to Italy in the near future! Qin and I bought the same crystal studded bow headband from Forever 21 which only costs 5 bucks! It’s probably the best headband I’ve ever bought at such a good price. It’s so cute that I’ll do a post with an outfit wearing it when I collect my G10. Not to mention, sweettt Valencia (Roll Up Your Sleeve) gave me a cute pair of pearlie heart ear studs. They’re so dainty and sweet and really suitable for work ;) Can’t wait to hang out with the girls again!

Girl Meets Boy

{ Chanel 2.55 & pleated frills = Girl } + { Tuxedo blazer + shorts = Boy } = Adela’s style and personality.

Stay tune for tomorrow’s entry! It’s gonna be reaaaaallll juicy — with loads of photos of various fashion bloggers and I! So see ya tomorrow ;)

Won’t Last A Day Without You

I wore: Military crop jacket, F21. Heather grey tee, AA. Velvet skinny pants, Siwy. Wedges, PR. Bag, Chanel. Watch, Franck Muller.

‘Won’t last a day without you’ refers to my utmost favorite shoes at the moment, of course! Strange cause most people would probably refer that to my bag instead, lol. I am in indefinite love with these crazy studded wedges. They’re probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned.

I am leaving for Italy next Saturday and I have yet to pack my luggage and neither have I run my errands. Gotta get my engine going!

A checklist of things I need to do:

  1. Bring my luggage up to my room so that I can even start to ‘dump’ my stuff in.
  2. Get whistles for self-protection. Been hearing tons of horror stories about gypsies in Rome.
  3. Prepare environmental bags to store my outlet shopping (gotta throw out the designer shopping bags, wouldn’t want unwanted attention!)
  4. I’m all set on my Aldo knee high leather boots (as seen on Monica Rose) which I’ve bought specially for Italy since I won’t be bringing my Chloe riding boots :(   Now I need help in deciding on which pair of booties to bring along should in any case I get bored of the knee high boots. Military booties or these cute wanted red Mini Market wedge booties?
  5. I’m gonna bring an additional bag just in case my Balenciaga decides to die on me. And yes, I’ve decided on the greige city since I’ll be bringing my new Rebecca Minkoff Nikki bag in Orange Haze! What an overly bright color!
  6. Pack my shampoo and all other necessities enough for 2 weeks…… these little mundane things I tend to overlook.
  7. Outerwear. Leather jacket, wool trench coat, thick puffy jacket = MUST HAVE.
  8. Leggings, the more the better! Speaking of which, I NEED a pair of leather skinny pants :(
  9. Decide on what knit dresses/tunics/tops I want to bring. Plus accessories too.
  10. Apply for graduate school program before I leave!!! DEFINITELY must do this.
  11. Decide on which graduation+family photos we want to develop. This is taking forever.
  12. Finally, the GIVEAWAY which I’ve promised will need to commence by end of this week!

Phew, that was a handful. Now it’s time for me to continue hunting for a divine pair of leather skinny pants and do some research on itiniery for Venice, Milan, Assisi and Florence — any suggestions of the coolest or must-visit places to visit? Email me at Adeliet.L@gmail.com please! Suggestions are appreciated!

Brighter Than Sunshine

I met up with Valencia for dinner today. We had a wonderful time sharing bits and pieces of our lives with one another! It was also fun and heartwarming to be able to relate to one another in terms of religion, life experiences and relationships despite it being our first meeting. We had a nice dinner where we enjoyed yummy reasonably priced pasta at Pastamania (my second time there) as well. It is also such a pleasure to know that we live pretty near one another!

Cheers to a great start of our friendship ;) Do visit her blog — she’s got a wonderful boho style that is quirky, daring and unique. We got each other gifts and you can check out what I got her on her blog! And here’s what she got me:

An exfoliating cleanser and pink shimmer nail polish from Stila and a cream eyeshadow/base from MAC — I love them! She knows me well ;) I am really glad and thankful for the gifts of friends and generosity. Friendships are a gem that should be held dear to heart always, that is if they are genuine and sincere to begin with.

I managed to take some outfit pics when I got home with the help of my boyfriend, J who is the photographer behind most of my outfits. Gotta share with you some of his art works one of these days. My artist boyfriend is truly amazing with his blessed gift of art.

I wore: Black silk jumpsuit, F21. Studded suede wedges, Pedder Red. Black gem ring, F21. Studded bracelet, random. Bag, Balenciaga. Nail polish, OPI Shorts Story.

Just to share with you… I am gonna have my 2nd giveaway before I leave for Italy! It’ll be an early Christmas gift so be sure to stay tune and check back for more details! To be updated instantly, Tweet with me and add me on Bloglovin ;)

The Breton Tee

As some of you might be aware, the stripes are back! This time, much fiercer than before. Stripes will no longer bore us out nor look the same again. I’ve always loved stripes, if you’ve been following my blog, you’ll come to realize that I do have quite a handful of ’stripey’ stuff like tees and bodycon dresses. And now, the bigger reason to take this love a step further is that Zara has come up with their own version of breton tee, which is in my humble opinion, the most awesome breton tee I’ve ever seen. At 60 bucks! And yeah, with shoulder pads too!

I wore: Breton shoulder pad tee, Zara. Washed out denim shorts, Paige Denim. Glitter flats, Repetto. Bag, Balenciaga. Watch, Franck Muller.

Special thanks to the boy who bought me the breton tee!! ;)

PS: My Twitter account has now been changed from Adeliet to lovecoutureluxe. Tweet with me today!

PPS: I am deliberating which bag to bring for my Italy trip. Grey (view the bag here) or red balenciaga? Grey would make a lovely neutral and will definitely attract much lesser unwanted attention as compared to the red, but the red is an awesome red which brings out the best in every outfit! What do you think?

Long Time Love Affair

I know I ought to grow up but what’s a girl to do when she loves a cute white kitty all decked in pink! I grew up with Hello Kitty and I know that Kitty has 2 categories of fans — fans like me and well, hate fans aka haters. Sadly I belong to the former so if you feel uncomfortable with a cute cat without a mouth, please refrain from viewing this entry. Now that you’ve been warned, for those who adore cute kitties… enjoy ;)

I wore: Grey blazer, F21. Deep v-neck tee, AA. Fringe skirt, F21. Glitter ballet flats, Repetto. Red bag, Balenciaga. Watch, Cartier.

More updates to come over the weekend! Until then, have lots of fun and stay safe! xoxo Adela
